A GOUROCK pub has raised thousands of pounds for Ardgowan Hospice to say thanks for treating the owner's wife. Monteith's owner Alan Sandison and his wife Barbara wanted to help the hospice's lymphoedema department after she was treated there after having lymph glands removed.
HUNDREDS of moon walkers went the extra mile for charity and clocked up a fantastic £50,000 for Ardgowan Hospice. A parade of pink ladies sparkled on Saturday night, donning brightly coloured hats, feather boas and flashing head-boppers to take part in the hospice Moonlight Walk.
Founder of affirmative action and human resources consulting business recalled for her spirit and hard work Dawn Stauffer Hyde, who founded an affirmative action and human resources consulting firm, died of early-onset dementia, or posterior cortical atrophy, May 11 at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson. She was 57 and had homes in Ellicott City and on Gibson Island.
THE final countdown is on for ladies to get off their mark on the Moonlight Walk next month. Entries are still pouring in to take part in Ardgowan Hospice's fun charity 10k event on Saturday 5 May.
